The Institute of Chartered IT Professionals (ICITP) has launched the Chartered Chief Information Officer (CIO) Council, which it says is an inclusive advisory and advocacy council for the South African ICT sector.

The inaugural launch, which took place in Sandton at Webber Wentzel last week, had in attendance industry experts to discuss competency and professionalisation of all IT practitioners in SA; the role of a chartered CIO at an organisational and national level; as well as the council’s key focus areas on the fourth industrial revolution in SA.
